Most people do not care much about the type of outdoor lighting they have outside their homes. But the outdoor lighting is the one that welcomes you and any guests home. In fact, with very few means, most homes can give a proper overhaul with LED outdoor lighting. Robust wall mounted LED luminaires are a favorite choice for outdoor lighting as these have a discreet shape and can illuminate a whole house. The development of LED technology has meant that the luminaires today are available in very small and slim versions. Therefore, you can ‘wash’ your wall with a bright and clear light without necessarily having a smaller, black luminaire to fill the wall itself.
You can also go further and ‘play’ a little with the outdoor lighting at your private home. LED excavation luminaires are a great way to illuminate a carport, entrance hall leading up to the house or the wooden terrace in the backyard. Indirect lighting can also be achieved either by having a luminaire located at low altitude, illuminated on a wall, or located underneath the rooftop, luminous on a wall. The more beautiful and the more exclusive it becomes, the harder it is also to mount.
This also applies to LED indoor lighting. There are a host of easy LED solutions that are both more aesthetic and more energy efficient than traditional light sources. You can easily go up in exclusivity – but therefore also the complexity.
LED downlights or mounted spots are the preferred replacements for halogen spots which many have, or have previously had, mounted across the many rooms of the home. The light from these indoor LED luminaires currently has the same heat emissions as the traditional halogen spots but a far better light quality, as well as longer life. In the kitchen, traditional fluorescent lamps have been a favorite choice for under-cabinet lighting, and yes, you’re correct, they can also be replaced with LED tubes or alternative linear LED luminaires. In some traditional fluorescent luminaires, when installing a simple coil, insert an LED tube directly into it. This could not be easier.
If it’s not going to be easier but more difficult, there are exclusive LED solutions enough to choose from. In the bathroom, it produces a great look if you mount decorative LED strips behind the mirror. Built-in linear LED solutions and recessed lights, both of which require a larger installation work, provide an extremely exclusive expression in any home.
